Hi, I’m Crystal, Founder of Collage and Wood, Host of The Simple and Smart SEO Podcast and your Challenge Host!
This 3 Day Challenge is the exact event I wish I could have participated in when I first started my journey towards designing my own online store to sell my handmade products.
Here’s my story:
It all started by the birth of my son. As an athlete and volleyball coach, I was no stranger to challenges, but the idea of balancing motherhood with work seemed impossible.
And the cost of childcare was an easy no.
I needed a solution that would allow me to be there for my son without compromising our financial stability.
So, I turned to my passion for creating handmade photo collages on wooden letters, a project I once did for my volleyball team.
The Values That Guide My Work:
- My personal values, centered around my faith,
- my commitment to being a good wife and mom, and
- my relentless work ethic are the foundation of my business.
To me, entrepreneurship is an extension of sports competition - a constant challenge to outdo yesterday's performance.
Overcoming personal challenges, including a [broken heart] heart attack in 2020, has shaped how I run my business.
Each setback has only strengthened my resolve to prioritize what truly matters - living a creative, meaningful life and making a positive difference in the world.
As a biracial woman in an interracial marriage, I understand the struggles of those who feel marginalized and strive to create an inclusive space for others.
After my heart attack, I realized two things:
1: I wanted to live a creative life. Creative in practice, as a business owner. Work when I wanted and where I wanted.
2: I couldn't take it with me. I wanted to help YOU and share all of the knowledge, tips, tricks, mistakes, and insights gained from running a business powered by SEO.
That's why I started the Simple and Smart SEO Show podcast, and that's why I'm hosting this Supercharge Your SEO challenge!
