A guide to advertising your shopify store using Pinterest

The Shopify platform provides many different opportunities for online advertising. One of the most popular is the social media site Pinterest, which attracts over 400 million active monthly users.

Pinterest users are highly engaged and spend more time on the site than any other major social network, making it an excellent place to advertise your store.

This blog post will give you tips on how to promote your shopify store through Pinterest ads vs facebook ads in order to get better results in marketing! If you want to market a Shopify store, then you have come to the right place.

In this article we will look at how it can be done and which channels are best suited for promoting your online shop.

Shopify offers many other advertising opportunities.

These platforms are great for generating traffic to your site, but it's important to know what you should advertise and where you'll get the most value out of each dollar spent on marketing.

Today I'm going to talk about using Pinterest to market your Shopify store, including Promoted Pins, Pinterest's paid advertising option.

How do I promote my Shopify store through Pinterest Ads?

To start with, make sure that your Pinterest presence is active by having an attractive banner image (or set of images) as your cover photo on Pinterest.

A solid profile is the foundation for maximizing your advertising dollars on Pinterest. Also, make sure that you have a healthy amount of pins on each board.

I always recommend at least 10 boards with 10-15 boards. Once this has been established, create boards around keywords relevant to your product or service.

Also, once you've connected your Pinterest account to your Shopify store and gain approval for the Verified Merchant Program, Pinterest will begin posting your Shopify product photos to the Pinterest platform on your behalf.

If you have never advertised on Pinterest, you will be surprised to find that they give every new business $100 in advertising credits to get started!

So you can set a budget and get started promoting a timely product or service.

Ideally, you would want to promote a pin that already has some organic "juice" - but you can create new pins specifically for Pinterest Promoted Pins advertising.

On Pinterest, pins that are evergreen in nature do best organically.

They typically take 3-6 months to see traffic gains. Promoted Pins is an attractive option for businesses who want to get a quick win on Pinterest.

Optimize Your Pinterest Account For Your Ideal Clients

The biggest mindset shift a business owner has to make when using Pinterest for Business is this: everything that you post or save on your Pinterest boards is no longer for you - it's for your CLIENT.

Each time you post an image, include keywords to describe how it relates to your product or service. You can do this in a few different ways:

  • The most important thing you should do when promoting a Shopify store is to create Pinterest boards for each type of customer you want to target. For example, if your product appeals mainly to women aged 30-45, make a board called "Mothers" plus one or two other descriptive keyword combinations and pin images related to how women can use your product in their daily lives as mothers.
  • When creating the caption for an image on your Pinterest boards, describe how it relates directly back to how customers can benefit from using or purchasing what you have available through your Shopify store. Again, infusing keywords will help you show up in non-branded searches that include those keywords.

Create a separate Pinterest board for every demographic that may be interested in buying from your online retail site (e.g., moms).

Test out a few different ideas and see what resonates most over time.

Do your best to avoid "overly promotional" pin descriptions. Use them as an opportunity to engage with potential customers by asking questions that encourage sharing!

A CTA on the pin is important to give your customers an idea of the action you want them to take, but you can make it more conversational and relationship-building.

For instance, ask how people feel about something related to your business (e.g., Do you agree? Have you tried?) rather than directly promoting your products/services.

When you start a business, it's hard to get an idea of how to market your store.

There are lots of different tactics and strategies out there that can help improve conversions on your site or increase how many people see what you have to offer in the first place.

The best way for advertising a Shopify store is by sharing content across multiple platforms. The best formats include blog posts, infographics, and product images. Pinterest is the perfect place to do this. Consider promoting any pin that does well organically.

For Shopify stores, how to market your store is important for success.

You can use the Pinterest advertising platforms to help promote your online shop. Make sure to use the right keywords so that if someone searches for something related to what you sell, they'll be able to find you. Keyword research isn't hard, but it does take some time.

The best way to use Pinterest for business is by creating boards that target your ideal customers.

Optimize how you post on Pinterest so that it's more about how they can use what you have available through your online store and less about promoting the brand itself. Use keywords in the descriptions and ask questions related to how people feel or their experiences with similar topics as a way of engaging them without being too promotional.
